When we acquired data with big amounts of money, it is really beneficial if we make use the most out of our data. Log data combined with XRD or any sample analaysis can be used for rock physics modeling. Rock physics modeling is one of the method to have a quantitative interpretation. Before we do rock physics modeling, quality control of the data is necessary to minimize the inclusion of bad data. In this case range interval of data that has caliper more than 13 inch will not be included in the processing as the data are not reliable anymore. We will use siliclastic modeling. The model that will be used is VRH and Hertz-Mindzin. Below the diagrams show the constituent of the rock. We only use clean sand and shaly sand interval to be included in the model because shale will have its own model. On the figure below we can conclude that Hill model is the most fit upper bound and reuss and HM- is the most fit with the lower bound.
